11/18/2013 Florida Crossroads – Florida’s Black Heritage Trail: The Central Florida Region, Part 1

In the 90’s, state leaders took note of African American’s contributions in Florida and established a Black Heritage Trail. It includes landmarks and legacies that preserve and promote the energy, depth and richness of the African American experience.  In this Florida Crossroads, Theresa Marsenburg travels to the heart of Florida visiting Sumter, Polk and Pinellas Counties exploring a diverse heritage trail in Central Florida.
